Jeannette Bowen 2.jpg

Jeannette Bowen was a trailblazer for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In 1980, Triumphant Soror Bowen had the distinct honor of serving as the first ever Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Director. Under her leadership, Zetas from across the commonwealth were able to utilize our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood to better our Massachusetts communities.

She was a steadfast leader that paved the way for Zeta to thrive in the Courageous Commonwealth. She was the ultimate role model for her community and for her own children, as one of her daughters, Triumphant Soror Paulette Kristine Ford, followed in her footsteps and became a Zeta.

Our Triumphant Soror Jeannette Bowen was the epitome of what it means to lead and serve your community with love and light!

To honor her amazing legacy, we have created the Jeannette Bowen Leadership Scholarship. The Jeannette Bowen Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to one female high school senior student from the Courageous Commonwealth of Massachusetts who demonstrates exemplary academic achievement, a propensity for service, and noteworthy leadership.  The Scholarship will be a one-time only award.
